Project 365: Day 182

Project 365: Day 182

Cleaning the condo today and we found a number of the cat's toys. Here's one that we picked up at a tradeshow, when you bounce it on something hard, it lights up! A bit of an accidental picture, but I found it turned out pretty neat.

Alex Stoddard Photography

The photos by the young Alex Stoddard are just simply stunning. I stumbled upon these today and just could not help but stare at this thoughtful and surreal work that he produces. Simply amazing!

The one above is just made me pause - like the soul is trying to escape and leave to a place where something is calling. I simply love this image, and it makes me think of where my life is now and where I want to go.

London Flat

What a fantastically decorated flat in London, I love how it is well proportioned for the space and i just enough for all daily living. Lovely architectural details and these amazing windows make this an absolute gem.

Project 365: Day 181

Project 365: Day 181

Had a great time at the opening concerts for Canada Rocks this weekend. Got to hear Joel Plaskett and Hey Rosetta!

Unfortunately I had left my main cameras at home since it was rainy when I left the house, so all you get this is crappy cell phone picture (adding one more reason that I want an iPhone!).

Outlining Small Kitchens

What better way to emphasize a small kitchen and give it some real definition than a coat of paint. This is a great way to give it some personality, even in tiny spaces such as these!

Spanish Dancer

What a beautiful capture I stumbled upon. There is so much grace, flow and movement in this simple photo and that colour just makes it all the more dramatic!

Backyard Entertaining

What a perfect and magical backyard for entertaining guests, I absolutely love the lights that hang off the tree! I can only hope that one day I might be able to have a small backyard in which I can do this during the summer.

Manning a photo booth today and we had a Hawaiian theme, complete with grass skirts, coconut bras and an orange paper pineapple!

Braided Crown and White Summer Top

Great tutorial to get your hair off your face in a braided crown. Love the summery white top too, great for dressing down on the weekends or just add a pair of slacks for the office!

Grey Accent Wall

I love the unique wall and window construction here and how this grey really brings this alcove to live. I would love to have one of these in my study!

Undoing what we just did at the gym for the win! Sushi tonight at Fuji's after the gym. Noticed that they had new plates!

Still some days I dream of a place where I can safely go around and do my errands on a vespa!

Intricate Mask

I love the look of this mask, reminds me so much of when we were wandering the streets of Venice last  October as they had many of these and the intricate hand-painted ones!

Project 365: Day 176

Project 365: Day 176

This was taken about 3:00am in the morning and the sun was starting to rise! Our summer nights are never really dark, more like a permanent twilight until the sun peaks over the horizon again.

Project 365: Day 175

Project 365: Day 175

Often our Saturdays start off with Tim Horton's before we hit the gym. A little backwards? Perhaps, but it sure gets you out of the house when you need to be!

Another day, another scarf. However, today was warmer out and I was able to wear this lovely light polka dot scarf that I hadn't worn in a while.

Project 365: Day 173

Project 365: Day 173

Even though it is officially the first day of summer, I still had to wear a scarf to work over my outfit! Scarves are an essential component to my wardrobe as I get cold easily in the office. This one is a simple, but very beautiful kelly green.

Simple Carryall

Perfect little carryall that you can take with you for your daily errands. Simple and functional.

Finally picked up my packages (4 in total today!). Just opened the packaging of The Hand of the Graphic Designer and I'm just in love with the colour of the book. Can't wait to start flipping through it!

Paper Art - The Little Mermaid

This is amazing paper art by Brittney Lee, who works for Walt Disney Animation Studios. I love how she perfectly captured the essence of the movie and the spirit of Ariel through this piece of art.

Relaxed Walking Outfit

Not really quite grunge and mixes a bit of preppy touches. Perfect for walking about in a comfortable outfit, I really need a coat like that to balance out my wardrobe!

Project 365: Day 167

Project 365: Day 167

Eating at Earl's today after watching Prometheus in the theatre. Somehow there was a bit of a mix-up with how my order came out, and I ended up with 4 different plates where there really should have been one! Luckily there was room for it at the table, but there was so much food, the pan bread was a giant brick!

Bookstore Cats

I've actually seen many bookstores where there is a resident cat! Does seem rather peaceful and quiet, and they really just nest just about everywhere. I love the feel of the photo - flipping through some sheet music on a quiet sunny day with a cat just snoozing above.

There is something about this structured yet very organic and creative feeling space that I love. Just the little details and quirks here and there really make it feel lived in.

Project 365: Day 166

Bridal shower at the office, with her colours of yellow and grey. I loved these little tissue ball poufs and while they are pre made from the dollar store, they would be so easy to make! I'm going to keep them in mind for decorations in the future!

Feltron Reports

This is really incredible to read through, just for the simple graphics that capture so many different elements of his life or of other information that he has in his possession. It makes you wonder what kind of stories you can tell if you only pay a little more attention to the daily workings of your life and put it down on paper! Worth a shot to try and do this one year, I wonder how it will turn out...?
